2021 Explorers: Weeks 3 & 4

The Explorers are having an amazing time so far this summer!!  The trips have been great!  Jim, and I along with our staff are all looking forward to the next two weeks which are sure to bring more fun and excitement.  We welcome our new Explorers and look forward to our adventures together! 

WEEK 3

Monday, July 12

Urban Air- Millers

Today we will head to Urban Air Adventure Park in Lake Grove. Campers will spend the morning jumping, playing dodgeball and ziplining before enjoying lunch at Miller’s in Commack.  Please click here to complete the Waiver.  

REGULAR TRANSPORTATION

***Tuesday, July 13 and Wednesday, July 14*** 

Club Getaway in Kent, Conn. will be our 1st overnight.  Please arrive at camp by 7:15 a.m. wearing your bathing suit, your travel shirt, and sneakers (with socks).  Linens are provided but you need to bring 2 towels, clothing for two days, toiletries, two additional bathing suits, a sweatshirt/jacket and “Deep Woods” bug spray.  Cell phone service is limited in the area.  We will be sleeping in cabins and enjoying camp activities during the day.  The evening will include a campfire and a group activity.  We are due back at camp at 5:30 p.m.  We will update you VIA remind at 5:00 p.m. for a more accurate arrival time.

Thursday, July 15

Today we get to experience another exciting Explorer trip, Bayville Adventure Park.  We will enjoy their many thrilling activities including, miniature golf, bumper boats, haunted mazes and high ropes adventure course.  Lunch will be served at the park.

Friday, July 16

Today we are heading to Smith’s Point Beach.  Please wear your bathing suit (and flip-flops) to camp and bring a towel, sunscreen, and change of clothes.  We will enjoy a picnic lunch.  Campers are welcome to bring extra snacks and games.  No boogie boards please!

WEEK 4

***Monday, July 19 and Tuesday, July 20*** 

Bromley

We will spend the next two days at Bromley Mountain in Vermont.  We will be participating in various outdoor activities including the aerial adventure park, and mountain adventure park.  We will be eating breakfast at the resort and dinner and lunch at local restaurants.  Please pack a towel, clothes for 2 days, 1 bathing suit, sneakers and toiletries.

Wednesday, July 21

Paddleboarding

We are off to Westhampton Beach!  We will enjoy time on the water, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.  We will then change and head to lunch in the town of Westhampton.  This is sure to be a fun and exciting day!

Thursday, July 22

Today we will head to Wild Play at Jones Beach. Are you ready for the challenge?  The Explorers will challenge themselves and climb the courses on our morning adventure.  We will then enjoy a picnic lunch and enjoy the afternoon at Jones Beach.

PARENT PICK-UP- 5:00

Friday, July 23

We will end our first session by saying good-bye to our July campers.   We will spend the day at Flight Fit and Fun in Ronkonkoma before heading to a local restaurant for a farewell lunch.
