Long Island Summer Day Camp

Dear Superteen Parents,

Another two weeks are in the books, the fun has continued and the memories are piling up. Let’s keep the good times rolling and see what happens in the next two weeks.  Take a look below to see all of the fun our next two weeks of camp will bring. 

 

WEEK FIVE – July 26th – July 30th 

 

Monday, July 26th – Paddleboarding

Regular Transportation AM

Pick up time: 5:00PM

Time to test your balancing skills on top of a paddleboard while navigating the waters of the Hamptons. Then we will venture into town to have lunch at one of the local restaurants.

Pick-up: 5:00PM – Please call the camp one hour before pick up time for updates.  

 

Regular Transportation Day – ******Except Campers starting week 5, need to be dropped off at 8:00am for the Deep Water Test******

 

Tuesday, July 27th – Farmington River Tubing 

Get ready to kick up your feet and float down the river in one of the most exciting tube excursions, while enjoying the Connecticut sunshine.  After our time on the river, we will go to lunch at Olive Garden.

Wednesday, July 28th – Xplore           

Time to see who has the quickest reflexes, best accuracy and ability to catch in a good old game of dodgeball.   Time to see who can rack up the most points and lead their team to victory in a strategic game of laser tag.

Thursday, July 29th – Long Island Adventure Park            

We will test our skills on Long Island’s very own adventure park and see who can reach new heights.  We’ll enjoy a pizza lunch in the shade at the park.

Friday, July 30th – Smiths Point Beach            

We’ll end the week by relaxing and catching up with our friends on the sandy shores of Long Island.  We’ll bring a picnic lunch and games for all to play.

WEEK SIX – August 2nd – August 6th

 

Monday, August 2nd – Friday, August 6th – Southwoods Sleepaway Camp 

Time to bunk up with some friends and checkout one of NY’s best sleepaway camps.   We’ll do various outdoor adventure activities, capture the flag, sports and spend some time cooling off in the lake.  A summer at camp wouldn’t be complete without COLOR WAR between the other camps visiting at the same time.

What to Bring

  • Change of clothes for 5 days (Extra clothes for dinner and evening activities)
  • 8 outfits minimum (Tees, Shorts, Socks and underwear)
  • 4 Travel shirts (Wear one on Monday)
  • 3 Bathing suits
  • Sweatshirt
  • Sweatpants
  • Rain Jacket
  • Towel for lake
  • Bathrobe (To go from Bunk to Shower House)
  • Sneakers
  • Crocs, Slides or Flip Flops
  • Sunblock
  • Laundry Bag (Kitchen Size garbage bags work great)
  • Pillow (optional)
  • Flashlight
  • Water Bottle (Refillable)
  • Bug Spray
  • Baseball glove or Tennis Racquet (If owned)
  • Toiletries (Shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, sunscreen, shower caddie)

***BEDDING WILL BE PROVIDED (Sheets including pillowcase, Blanket, Pillow, and Towel for showering)

 

Monday: Drop off at 7:00 AM

Friday: Pick up at 6:00 PM

Park Shore has a limited cell phone policy while in the Superteens division of camp.  Superteens will only be able to use their cell phones during designated times during long trips. Posting pictures of others is strictly prohibited.  For your convenience, our Superteens Director Mike Ziolkowski will have his cell phone with him. Please feel free to text or call with any concerns regarding rooming assignments, trips, schedule, etc.  Mike’s cell is (516) 662 – 1489.  In addition, Superteens Assistant Director Taneisha will have her cell phone with her.  Please feel free to text or call with any concerns regarding anything medical, daily attendance, etc.  Taneisha’s cell is (631) 655 – 1480.
