Week #1 and Week #2

 

WELCOME to the 2022 Explorers!  We are going to have a BLAST, making new friends and traveling to exciting destinations.  Buckle your seat belts and get ready for a wonderful summer filled with laughs, and new experiences as you make memories that will last a lifetime!

Monday, June 27th

Welcome Explorers! We will spend the morning getting to know each other before heading to Ultra Lanes in Massapequa. We will then head to Chili’s for lunch.  Please wear socks and sneakers to camp today!

Tuesday, June 28th

The Explorers are headed to Long Island’s newest sports complex…All Sportz.  We will spend the day participating in a variety of activities that promote teamwork and sportsmanship.  Campers must wear sneakers to camp today!  After working up a sweat we will head to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch.

Wednesday, June 29th

Today we will stay cool all day at Splish Splash Water Park in Riverhead.  Please wear your bathing suit to camp, bring a towel, and a change of clothes. We will be returning to camp by 6:00 p.m.  Parents can call camp at 5:30 to confirm our arrival.  Please wear your travel shirt today!

Thursday, June 30th

All aboard our very own fishing boat, Today we will head to Captree to enjoy a day of fishing and have a picnic lunch.  Who will catch a fish? Please wear sunscreen and bring a jacket/sweatshirt.  Campers can bring extra snacks or games if they would like.

Friday, July 1st

We will enjoy a day of canoeing on the Nissequogue River in Smithtown.  Please wear your bathing suit to camp.  You MUST wear closed water shoes/sandals or old sneakers- NO FLIP FLOPS.  Please bring a towel and a change of clothes.  We will be eating a picnic lunch at the park.

Monday, July 4th

Camp closed.  Have a Happy 4th of July!

 

Tuesday, July 5th

We will kick off our second week with lunch at IHOP before spending the afternoon filled with thrills on all the great rides at Adventureland Amusement Park. 

Please wear your travel shirt.

Wednesday, July 6th   

We will spend the day at Dave and Buster’s enjoying the arcade and all it has to offer.   Campers will also enjoy lunch at Dave and Busters.

Thursday, July 7th

Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. wearing your travel shirt for an early departure to Great Adventure in New Jersey.  We will eat lunch in the park and dinner on the road.  We plan to arrive back at Park Shore by 8:30 p.m. Parents, please call the camp office at 7:45 to confirm a more specific arrival time.  

PARENT DROP OFF: 7:30 am

PARENT PICK UP: 8:30 pm

 

Friday, July 8th

Today we are heading to Smith’s Point Beach.  Please wear your bathing suit (and flip-flops) to camp and bring a towel, sunscreen, and change of clothes.  We will enjoy a picnic lunch.  Campers are welcome to bring extra snacks, games, chairs etc. .  No boogie boards please!
