Park Shore Country Day Camp

Park Shore Country Day Camp offers a great opportunity for qualified candidates to work with children and have fun in our outdoor recreational program. High School and College students, graduates as well as teachers, and qualified adults will accompany and participate with our campers in a day of athletics, aquatics, and cultural art-related activities. You will follow an organized schedule of activities that will take you and your campers around our beautiful 15-acre wooded facility.

In addition to working with our campers, our staff has the opportunity to participate in our very exciting staff activity schedule during and after the camp day. Activities such as The Park Shore Pageant, Talent Show, Human Tic Tac Toe, Dunk Tank, and many others give our staff a chance to be creative while at the same time entertaining our campers. They also can take advantage of our Staff Barbecues, Staff Softball Team, weekend beach, and fishing trips, and many other activities that are planned during the camp season. It’s a summer filled with fun and excitement!

Camp Hiring & Training

The Park Shore Staff are the main contributors to the overall success we achieve each summer. Our professional Personnel Director interviews all candidates and if suitable to be on our staff, reference and background checks are performed.

In order for our staff to deliver the best possible experience for all of our campers, ALL of our staff participates in our Traditions Staff Training Program. During our training program, our staff learns about the Park Shore traditions that made us who we are today.  Our professional Directors teach their staff about a typical camp day and the importance of safety while at each activity. Similar to the “Disney” concept of the frontline, cast members are the most important, and they receive thorough training for the job they are hired to perform.

Our Extreme Sports, Aquatics, and Athletic Directors give comprehensive training on the rules, regulations, and safety procedures for their activity areas.  In addition, the Park Shore Health Director gives a seminar on all the safety protocols for Park Shore including the importance of learning about each camper’s unique medical history.  Knowing about specific allergies, diets, and parent concerns all come into play when training for a safe and exciting summer at Park Shore.
